Once upon a time (well, last summer), there was a man who ran across the entire Alps – and he did it in 30 days, beating the old record by no less than 15 days. His name was Karel Sabbe, but of course, what’s really on your mind right now is: What kind of shoes did he wear? The answer is simple: Cloudultra.

We were assigned to create a website serving as home for the film. It would be the natural place to lead traffic from marketing and communication. In line with the documentary, the UX design needed to showcase the extreme nature of Karel’s achievement, and thus persuade visitors to watch the film.

The concept was to create the feeling of being up in the clouds in The Alps, with a tech feel and a clean, minimalistic touch. We chose to highlight 9 events, which you can visit through a 3D map to explore and experience Karel’s journey.
